Welcome to the website of the Kenya Adult Learners’ Association (KALA), the pioneer adult learners association formed in 1990 to mobilize adult learners to enroll into literacy classes and motivate those who are already enrolled to continue engaging in all forms of lifelong learning. KALA was formed to empower adult learners to become self-sufficient and take charge of their learning process. It is the only organization in Kenya that was formed and led by adult learners, who have gained from the process of adult education.
The Association has members all over the country and boasts of competent players who have first-hand experience in the adult education programme. The membership of the organization is drawn from adult learners and other interested parties who have the desire to support adult education in different forms.
We urge you to join us in this quest for ensuring that adult learners’ needs are met.
